letters from dickinson to abigail cooper

Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 468

MANUSCRIPT: AC. Ink. Addressed on the fold: Mrs. Cooper.

PUBLICATION: L (1894) 394; LL 323; L (1931) 383.

The note probably accompanied flowers. The date is conjectured from the handwriting and from the fact that the centennial of the founding of the town of Amherst was celebrated on 4 July 1876 (see letter no. 509).
