letters from dickinson to abigail cooper

Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 504

MANUSCRIPT: YUL. Ink.

PUBLICATION: L (1894) 392; L (1931) 381.

Mrs. Cooper perhaps had remembered the anniversary of Edward Dickinson's death, 16 June; the date is conjectured from the handwriting. The signature may suggest that ED had not communicated with Mrs. Cooper since the previous summer (see letter no. 469).
