Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 925

The letter, acknowledging a photograph, starts so close to the top of the page that one suspects it is incomplete. Anna and Clara Newman, after their father's death in 1853, came to Amherst to live, for several years, in the home of Austin and Susan Dickinson. Anna was married in 1874.
