Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 850

MANUSCRIPT: AC. Pencil.

PUBLICATION: L (1894) 428; L (1931) 416.

The date is conjectured from the handwriting. Mr. Greenough became president of the Massachusetts Agricultural College in 1883. This note may have accompanied flowers sent to the Greenoughs soon after their arrival in Amherst. For a similarly phrased message to Susan Dickinson, see letter no. 852.
