letters from dickinson to the jenkins family

Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 464

MANUSCRIPT: Howe. Ink. Addressed on the fold: Mr Jenkins.

PUBLICATION: FN 109.

The date is conjectured from the handwriting. Perhaps the note was written on the anniversary of her father's death, 16 June. Jenkins had officiated at Edward Dickinson's funeral. The note was perhaps sent to him at a family gathering at Austin's, which ED did not attend.
