PUBLICATION: L (1894) 370; LL 280; FN 57-58; L (1931) 361.

Mrs. Grant Squires (Sally Jenkins) presented an envelope to HCL addressed: "Did" and Mattie. She thought it had contained this note. She wrote on the verso of the envelope (and it not contains the card): "Emily Dickinson's calling card - used when she called on Mrs. Adams Allen in Amherst - and given me by Adele Allen -"
