letters between dickinson and thomas niles

To Thomas Niles
From ED

late April 1882

Thank you, Mr. Niles.

I am very grateful for the Mistake.

I should think it irreparable deprivation to know no farther of her here, with the impregnable chances - The kind but incredible opinion of "H.H." and yourself I would like to deserve - Would you accept a Pebble I think I have to her, though I am not sure.

With thanks,

E. Dickinson.
