Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 1034

MANUSCRIPT: destroyed.

PUBLICATION: L (1894) 435; LL 378; L (1931) 427-428.

The quotation is from Keat's Endymion, and used by Higginson in his essay "The Life of Birds." The Norcrosses were good friends of Daniel Chester French and his mother, as they were of Maria Whitney, who lived with her brother in Cambridge.
