letters from dickinson to frances and louise norcross

Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 331

MANUSCRIPT: destroyed.

PUBLICATION: L (1894) 270; L (1931) 247.

Louise Norcross was in Amherst during the spring of 1869. The person described may be ED's aunt Elizabeth (Libbie). "J" could easily have been a misreading for "L." (See letters no. 286 and 473.)
