ED's illness occurred Saturday, 14 June, and she was attended by Dr. D.B.N. Fish. Frank Sanborn's lecture, given before the Concord School of Philosophy on Monday, 28 July, was reported in the Tuesday Springfield Republican. The "gracious boy at the barn" was Stephen Sullivan (see Appendix 2).
