letters from dickinson to the mathers

Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 764

MANUSCRIPT: AC. Pencil. Unpublished.

The date is conjectured from the handwriting. This is the second letter known to have been written to Mrs. Mather. It may in fact follow soon after the first (no. 697) but the handwriting suggests it may have been written as much as a year later.
