Thomas Johnson's Note on Letter 985

MANUSCRIPT: AC. Pencil.

PUBLICATION: L (1931) 421.

Mrs. Todd's diary for 6 May 1884 says that she pained a scarlet lily which Lavinia had asked her to come to see. This note, in the handwriting of that time may have been written to Mrs. Todd after ED had seen the painting.
