What is the state of Dickinson teaching, in schools and colleges, and the state of Dickinson scholarship, particularly, I suppose, in graduate schools? By any measure that is useful. I guess what I'd like to know is whether ED is on the upswing, downswing, or at steady state. And, if I don't stretch my luck too far, what is the international state of ED? Thanks. Louis Forsdale
