But there aren't many of us "on duty" this Saturday, and I'm eager to thank, for all of us, Margaret for her introduction to Rebecca Patterson and the tantalizing teaser about her work, and Jed for his urge to comparison with # 520. Wow, what sensuality! I had never read it before, and it is so strong! A final thought: I grew up with a series of different volumes of Selected Poems of ED. I got my collected poems only a week ago. I would guess that one of the necessary guidelines of editors of selected poems is to please, to reinforce existing predispositions. What a pleasure, then, coming to this group, which takes on everything and where participants urge (and teach) careful reading and attention to intuition, and demonstrate repeatedly that there is no final answer.
