The book is subtitled _The Love Story of Emily Dickinson's Brother, Austin, and Mabel Todd, the Woman Who Saved Emily's Poetry_, and that serves as a quick synopsis of what it's about. The matter I'm most curious about is that the author depicts Austin, Mabel Todd, and her husband, David, as being quite open among the three of them about Austin's love affair with Mabel Todd. David is depicted as a man who couldn't care less that his wife is involved with Austin, who remains a close friend, and, who, himself has affairs that his wife is quite aware of. The book is almost 500 pages long, and depictions are given of everyone in the cast of characters around ED, but I'll let my curiosity rest with the item expressed above. I've been off a bit while my computer was being doctored. There's heavy traffic in this group, and I've enjoyed catching up! Louis Forsdale
