Unfortunately I had to interpret the poems for the minister and literally helped him say them so they would be understood. It was then I understood that not all ministers are broadly prepared in the liberal arts. At other times of personal crisis I have searched--scanning ED with a hopeful eye. There is always something in her work. The only artist who serves me better in spiritual matters is Mozart. The second movement of his clarinet concerto is the most poignant prayer that I know.
