It clarifies Maggie's point for me. The meaning of the last line is also clarified. I'll put it in context of the last two lines: God keep his Oath of Sparrows - Who of little Love - know how to starve - The last line says, I assume, that sparrows get little love from God, and therefore know how to get by on little ("know how to starve"). This is an especially bitter comment by ED, since she loved all of nature. I don't think she ever placed people above other creatures. Or did she?
