After two days she quailed before
the requirements of nervous sensitive
baby that must be held[?] walked
with, coaxed into reconcilement
with a new life. The situation is
terrible to me to-day in remembrance
- I can best show it by commercial
debit and credit
     She must retire early and sleep
          late.
     She must have [?] and pie
          for breakfast
     She must read the Observer at all
          times
     She must never walk with baby--

     She must live as if a farmer at
          home
My debt--, how can I sum it?
She would leave me for an hour
