  Lectures - How we loved
and thrive on them -- We did
not have many but the Professors
in turn gave of their best -- Lords with men
from Europe now and then * - The
famous X John Lord with his
wizardry of style and manner
who could persuade against
ones better reason - Now we cry
out "enough" and draw nearer the
fire with our book almost abhoring
a "lecter" for have we not been lectured
to death? * Prof. S. lectures on Botany
in the basement of the old chapel
in Summer were beautiful and
graceful in style and matter - The
young ladies liked their beaux[?]
(? of, &tc) it was a pleasant
