  I think of Mr and Mrs Snell ever as they impressed me at an evening party at their
house, soon after my marriage. I wore my wedding gon [sic] and was in quite a flutter of
excitement over it all. Mrs Henry Nash was a bride too, and and [sic] so pretty, with
her high color and sweet smile. Mrs Nash Senior, then at the head of the Mt Pleasant
school, was a sister of Mrs Snell and lent a charming

Indeed Professor and Mrs Snell were ever ready with their invitations to the vil-
lage, beaming kindliness and wit upon everybody ho [sic] attended their parties.
