In Edinboro -- Maureen Owen
Here the cemetery has the best view of the lake
& striped & zigzagged families
in small cottages dabbled white & onyx along the shore wave
to boaters sizzling in pastoral light that seeps
across the water in a rushing gold assault
as though a herd of elbows splashed O
loco performance space! towards me Professor temporar
disquieted by the gleam Cold-hearted expose!
A woman draws collected rain water
from a tub pours a bucket
here a bucket there her
gardens & my crazy
rocking heart She
swings the bucket as she goes
