Thomas Johnson's Note on Poem 1390

MANUSCRIPT: Privately owned (Hallowell). Louisa, an infant daughter of T.W. Higginson, was born 26 January and died seven weeks later. These brief elegiac lines were incorporated in a letter written to Higginson presumably in late March or early April 1880.
