We pray for those--
In danger tonight
Who make no prayer
For themselves.
We pray for those--Grant that they
Appointed to die
Upon the sea,
Or among the stars,
Or face to face
With the enemy
On the earth beneath.
May not die alone,
But that their Lord
May be with them
Always--even
Unto the End--
According to
Thy Promise.
We pray that not one soulGrant unto them
Of any creed or nation,
Giving up the life
Thou hast given him
May be lost.
A place of Eternal light,
And of Eternal Fulfilment!
