baptism of sorrow - Pictures at the
Louvre strike[?] the depths again -
looked over the Da Vinci's again with
care - like the Mona Lisa least - liked
Paris better - would like a month
there, if I could have my own birch
fan at night - music at the Madelaine
uplifting - antiphonal - a Priest
sang wonderfully at the Altar
the big organ at the end of the
transept responding - it was an
insought blessing -

Zurich Aug. 29 - Back in the clear
plan resting from our rebuff at
Pontresina - M & I could not lean on
the air - She three days in bed, railing
at the March air we fly at home &
the near snow on Rosegg -- too much
