Torn at left. "Wanting," perhaps Susan's suggested title, on verso. Titled "The Blue Jay," first published in Atlantic Monthly, LXVIII (October 1891), 454, in Higginson's article about her letters and poems; Poems (1891), 176-177, also titled "The Blue Jay." This was the last poem Dickinson sent to Higginson.
