FF 225-226. Paste marks. On verso, "Why" has been written by Bianchi, who said that this was to decline "an invitation to an evening of amateur music." Dickinson compares "the girls" to "the Germanians," the Germania orchestra from Berlin, which gave nine hundred concerts in six years, often with local performers (see L 118n).
