ARCHIVES IN THE CLASSROOM: FALL 1997
Each student was asked to design a final project for the semester
contextualizing either the work of Dickinson and/or Whitman. Topics
explored included: Dickinson & African-American poet Frances E.W. Harper;
Dickinson & the Writings of Susan Dickinson; Dickinson and Whitman and their
poetic lineage--Hart Crane, H.D., Allen Ginsberg, Essex Hemphill, Adrienne
Rich, Elizabeth Bishop; websites devoted to exploring in-depth particular
aspects raised by study of both poets. Here's a sample of one of those
